Dr. Tyson Klein is a quantum physicist at CERN who has spent twelve years working toward a unified Theory of Everything. While analyzing data from the Large Hadron Collider, he finds traces of exotic subatomic particles that appear to originate from outside the known universe. The particles seem to carry an encoded signal, a transmission of unknown origin crossing space and time. As Ty works to decode the message, he comes to believe it holds answers to fundamental questions about the nature of the universe and humanity's place within it. But the discovery puts him in immediate danger. Forces he can't yet identify are determined to stop him from deciphering what the signal contains. The novel follows Ty as he races to decode the transmission while evading those hunting him. The story moves from the physics labs of CERN into territory that spans alternate histories and multiverse theory, with the quantum signal acting as the thread connecting multiple realities. Ty is joined by a small group of others whose lives become entangled with the signal and its implications. The central tension runs on two tracks: the intellectual puzzle of what the signal means, and the physical threat to anyone who gets close to answering that question. The book draws on real concepts from particle physics and cosmology, including the LHC's role in probing fundamental forces, while using them as scaffolding for a thriller plot built around the idea that the universe itself might be broadcasting a message, and that someone, or something, wants that message to stay unheard.
